Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman stated: “India’s 5G is technology is indigenous, can provide it to other countries as well ” she underlined.

Bharti Airtel has aced the race of providing 5G services to its users, Airtel officially launched 5G services and plan of Airtel 5G-Plus for users in its launch event on 06th October 2022 these services are available in eight cities for now, Reliance Jio is also set to launch its 5G services Jio is running its Beta test in different cities. Jio promises to provide 5G services to entire nation by December 2023 and Airtel by March 2024

Apple says they are working with carrier partners in India to provide best 5G experience to iPhone users as soon as network validation, testing for quality and performance is completed. They said in December all series of iPhone 14,13,12 will be 5G enabled by a software update
When Samsung and google users will get 5G
- Samsung says they are closely working with operator partners and their 5G devices will be 5G enabled by mid-November by a software update;
- Google says they are actively working with the Indian carriers to enable 5G at earliest. 5G services will be enabled on all 5G sets by a software update
When Xiaomi users will get 5G
Murali Krishnan B, President, Xiaomi India said, “Currently, 100 percent of our 5G smartphone models support the NSA network out of the box, wherein users can choose ‘Prefer 5G’ in network settings to connect to the 5G network.” Also, it has already started rolling out the FOTA (firmware over-the- air) updates to select devices like Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G and Mi 11X Pro. “Most devices will start receiving OTA updates by Diwali,” he said
